Welcome to the CRRU blog

Welcome to the new CRRU blog - the home of all things cetacean in the Moray Firth :-)

Hopefully we will be able to update you with CRRU news about current expeditions, research, conservation news and other things of interest.. for example, great videos of Bottlenose Dolphins foraging in the Firth!

Hello everyone! I've had a busy week back in the office in Chippenham with meetings in London, the mass common dolphin stranding in Cornwal, a powerboat race around the UK etc., etc., etc. WDCS has put in a request for information about the whereabouts of the navy and their doings under the Freedom of Information Act, but it might be months until anything comes back from that! So, we are still all very puzzled about the strandings - the necropsied animals seemed to be perfectly healthy though with empty stomachs.
On a lighter note - when I close my eyes I can still see the gannets diving in the distance! WHOHOO!!!!! Lots of love to all!
